From humble beginnings...

Schaerer Contracting is the result of a long history of successful projects and lasting relationships. Our roots were planted in 1927 when Warner “Pap” Schaerer started the family owned plastering company.

In 1935 Emil Tucker Schaerer joined his father at the age of 21 and continued to grow the business throughout the southeast by delivering quality, skilled workmanship to all clients. In 1968 Schaerer Contracting was incorporated by our 3 rd generation, E. T. “Bud” Schaerer II. Bud, an Army Lieutenant in the 1 st Armored Division, used his military leadership skills as he continued to grow the company into the general contracting company we are today, enjoying many large scale projects during his tenure.

Our fourth generation, Burton Tucker Schaerer, graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1985 and joined the company. Burt brought with him management and business development skills that have allowed Schaerer Contracting to grow abundantly under his direction while continuing the family traditions of building relationships and excellence in construction quality.

Schaerer Contracting is now the contractor of choice for many large scale clients throughout the United States, having completed projects in 15 different states.
